Paul designs around the plants first. With over 30 years' experience in what grows where. The structure exists to support the planting, not the other way round.
Garden Design
Paul visits the garden, walks the space with you, and works out what’s possible before any structure is decided. The design considers how the garden will look in five years, not just on the day it’s finished. Paul designs the garden and oversees its delivery through trusted contractors, so the scheme that was drawn up is the scheme that gets planted.
Specimen Planting
A garden holds together through its key plants: pleached hornbeams for structure, specimen trees that anchor a view, hedging that does the work of a wall without looking like one. Knowing which plant earns its place, and how it will perform here, in Surrey, over years rather than one season, is most of the job.
Living Walls
A living wall turns a blank vertical surface into something with depth and life through the year. Paul designs and specifies the planting for both residential and commercial walls, choosing species that hold their structure rather than thinning out after the first season.
